Week #6 thing #15

It feels like my school exists in a different world from the possiblilties of Library 2.0. Most of my students only have internet access in school, and are determined to view it as a plaything, rather than a tool. My current struggle in our school is convincing our students that there is value in finding the answers, beyond just filling in the blanks on their pages. I would love to be interactive with Web 2.0 in library services, but so much of it is shaped by the attitudes of the community to be served. I read most of the links, as well as the one (not linked) called "A Ripple Effect." I'm not giving up on possibilities, I just have to keep in perspective the community I serve.
